Broadway Mansions Hotel - On the bund

Location location location.

WiFi is "spotty" at best.

Location was great. Place was clean and the staff were very kind and helpful.

Keys did not work and had to go back to lobby to figure that out. A little bit annoying but other than that, no complaints.

The hotel is located in a historic building, right on the famous The Bund. The furniture is renovated, but there are also old objects that give the place a charm. The place is clean, well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. English is not their strong point, but it is valid for most places, so it is not a problem. However, the staff compensates by being friendly and by trying to make you feel good. We arrived at the hotel very early in the morning, around 6.30 and the receptionists saw that we were tired from the road, they were very proactive and at 10.30 they accommodated us - at no extra cost. The breakfast is rich, with very tasty traditional products but also with European options, for all tastes. The internet in the hotel works well, you connect very easily. From the hotel you have a very beautiful panoramic view of the skyscrapers of Shanghai and you have a 5-minute walk to the famous Nanjing Road, a pedestrian street with everything you want - shops, restaurants, malls.

It’s excellent location. The hotel itself is a part of history and well maintained. There is so much character in the building. It is on the historic Bund and the views of Shanghai are excellent.

Property is fine. In the hospitality industry it is the people which make all the difference. The front office staff need training on basics about the city. Secondly the hotel is now renamed to Shanghai mansion but on Booking.com and on the Didi taxi app it continues to be Broadway Mansion. We ended up at the wrong hotel and had to find out on our own where the hotel was. Management must take care of these little things. When we asked the front office where the river cruise started from, the front desk had no idea and said they will check with the manager. The manager in turn said “check on the Internet” Really? This attitude took away the pleasure of an other wise wonderful property. Breakfast is a bit expensive and I was told that I can visit the rooftop ( for photography purposes) only during certain hours. To be fair other staff members were helpful.

I stayed one night and hotel uprade my room seeing the bund automatically. So great, thanks for all!

The city view wasnt good. Also the corridor had stuffy smell

-3 mins Walking distance to Bund and 5 to 7 mins to famous Nanjin east street. -Staff are helpful and knowledgeable about tourist attractions area-Breakfast variety is good and many choices. -In house Japanese restaurant is reasonable price and tasty

-Due to late winter season so still no aircon (central heating/control). When the weather is warmer , little uncomfortable but hotel staff helps to arrange the fan in our room so still manageable.

I had a wonderful stay at Broadway Shanghai Hotel! From the moment we checked in, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly receptionist, and the housekeeping staff was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect—surrounded by charming, unique restaurants and cozy cafés, making everything super convenient.I didn’t expect much at first, but was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful complimentary services, including a lovely teatime and even a photo shooting package. The special photo shoot was such a memorable experience—the professional photographer always recommended we head to The Bund for the best shots, and it truly made the experience magical. It was a great way to take in the beauty of Shanghai while capturing unforgettable moments with my two little ones.These little touches made our stay extra special. Staff were excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Good location to go out and walk along the Bund. Rooms had a sort of faded grandeur which gave it a good atmosphere.

I was a little disappointed with the view from my window as I had expected a full view of the Pearl Tower, however I couldn't see it at all. The small bar had limited food options for a quick snack
